Nicola Jenkins 

Nicola Jenkins is an Exercise Instructor and Health and Wellbeing Champion for Dorset Healthcare NHS University Foundation Trust. She works alongside Dr. Leyland Sheppard at the Nightingale Unit in Bournemouth, helping inpatients with mental health conditions stay fit and healthy in their gym.

I spoke to her about what exercise based services the NHS offer to patients with mental health issues, and how physical activity improves mental wellbeing and lifestyle.

About Me

I'm Lucy Georgina Thomas, a 21 year-old multimedia journalism student from Bournemouth University.

 

As part of my final year project, I am creating a television documentary that explores how physical exercise could decrease male suicide rates in the UK.
